BJ has been a musician all her life and studied music
in college. She plays piano, guitar, banjo, and mandolin beautifully.
In addition, she is an award-winning songwriter.
BJ has an artistic side as well. She provided 9 illustrations for a book, The Great Goddess, which was published in 1993. In 2013, she painted a series of abstracts inspired by a friend's compositions. Her paintings are on Emily Bond's website, Caffienated Piano #s 1-12.
Sandy Reay asked BJ to illustrate a child's poem about animals. BJ returned the poem with a 6th verse, a chorus, and a melody, but no illustrations. They cowrote two more songs, which can be found on Sandy's CD, "I Wanted to Fly." Their cowritten songs are "Free Fall," "State Line Cafe," and "Car Full of Collies."
BJ and Sandy also collaborated on a decorated chair.
BJ died January, 2023. She has been missed. |
